Charlotte- McDowell the Dog needs a home

Please contact Dee ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

Hi there, my name is Charlotte and I'd like to tell you a little about me. I'm what they call a

"senior" girl, although I have plenty of life still in me. I was raised as an "inside" dog for most of my life. I had some puppies early on, then got spayed, and lived inside with one of my pups and our family. Then one day our parent passed away, and me and my baby had nowhere to go. Someone tried to take care of us but had nowhere for us to go, so we were chained up near some trees outside on a property where there were no people. We lived in that sad place outside on a chain for over a year, and were fed some food that was thrown on the ground for us a few times a week. It was a pretty sad way to live. Being outside with no protection or medical care, I ended up coming down with heartworm disease. Thankfully someone finally contacted Brother Wolf and they came to rescue me and my pup! Now we both live in nice warm foster homes and are so much happier. I have been started on medications for my heartworm disease and am told that although I have a few months of medications ahead of me, that it does not stop me from being adopted! Infact Brother Wolf says they continue to pay for all the care for my heartworm treatment even once I'm adopted, so there's no reason for anyone to not adopt me! I do really well with other dogs, cats, kids, adults, pretty much everyone. I'm a sweet, easy girl that just wants to be loved and lounge around by you. I'm doing great with housetraining, am great on a leash, and really am just a wonderful girl. I'm so excited that I've gotten this new lease on life and can't wait to find my forever family. Please contact my foster mom if you'd like to know more about me!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).

Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
